DITA Plugins for Adobe FrameMaker

In order to use these plugins, you must install two prerequisites; Python and Adobe FrameMaker. Depending on your system, you may also need to install the Microsoft .NET 1.1 Framework.

Python is an open source, cross-platform scripting language. Windows versions are freely availabe from ActiveState. You must have version 2.4 installed.

You must have Adobe FrameMaker version 7.2 installed.

You must have a version of .NET framework installed. Many machines already have this software installed, but if you are running an older machine, you may need to download and install it from Microsoft.

Downloads

.NET Framework, download from Microsoft.
ActivePython, download from InTech or ActiveState.
DitaUtils 1.0.3

You will also need to download and unzip DITAEdition.zip directly into your C: drive.
